I follow a vegetarian diet and would like to find the best way to raise a healthy infant with all the nutritional needs met with out introducing them to animal products if at all possible.

unless you consider breast milk an “animal product”, its a no-brainer.

Assuming your baby is a newborn and only eating milk – and you don’t want/have breast milk – the best alternative would probably be soy. Be careful though, my baby was on soy, and it made her tummy upset, she was in a lot of pain. It’s also VERY stinky! If you’re interested in vegetarian, not vegan, though, most any formula would be o.k. Good luck!

That’s what a Doctor is for…
And unless the child is intolerant the Doctor will put it on a milk based formula…….

If you start playing with voodoo recipes you open yourself up to legal charges….That’s a child’s life!!!

It will really depend on how the child tolerates the milk. Breast milk is the best but if you want formula similac has an organic formula which is a green container that says “Similac Organic”.

There is no best formula. But if you must feed a baby formula soy is ok, but there have been studies that say that too much soy comes with side effects, so the other alternative is milk based formula. There are many varieties but organic is best.
The best food for babies is BM of course, but if you must choose one here is some research I did on the topic. Hopefully it will help you pick
